Emilie's Pick

📍 L’île-plage de Saint-Aignan

On your right, the tigers of the ZooParc de Beauval. On your left, the medieval town of Saint-Aignan. And right in the middle… the beach! As soon as Spring arrives, this peaceful and traffic-free spot turns into a joyful haven for kids.

Take a break with your little ones at the nearby picnic area and enjoy a delicious meal. Crunch, munch and nibble on local market treats while admiring the stunning view of the château and its collegiate church.

📍Étang communal de Monthou-sur-Cher

Love wide open spaces? Head to the picnic area in Monthou-sur-Cher for a peacefullakeside escape. A fresh-air lunch and also so much fun for the whole afternoon! Fishing for the grown-ups, playground for the kids… or maybe you’d prefer taking a stroll nearby?

Manuel's Pick

📍Parc plage Montrichard

Want to explore the region at a slow pace? Set off from Civray-de-Touraine and make your way to the sandy beach park in Montrichard. Once there, spread out your towel, take a dip, and treat yourself to an ice cream (three scoops, of course!) to celebrate the return of sunny days.

And why not paddle by canoe? A great way to admire the château de Chenonceau from another point of view and enjoy a truly eco-friendly adventure.

📍Parc le Vaulx Saint-Georges - Thésée

Combine your picnic with a cultural walk! Take the scenic route between Pouillé and Thésée, known for its rich heritage. For just a few euros, visit the local archaeological museum and explore the Gallo-Roman ruins of the Maselles.  Then take a break at Le Vaulx Saint-Georges Park, just behind the town hall, with a slice of fresh goat cheese (the Selles-sur-Cher goat cheese, of course).
